3. Webtools and Resources

There are loads of Webtools out there in the "Wild World Wide Web". Some are online-tools and others are little free software-tools that you can download and install to use them.

You can find them easily by using a search engine (look at the "Using the Web" section if you want to know how to use a search engine).

Or you can start with our Resources Library. We collected some good web resources that you can use for your web page construction. This make things a bit easier for you as you don´t have to search the net all by yourself.

Because there are so many tools I will just pick out one as an example. So let me introduce to you a very easy to use website with good web tools on it, that you can use online. On this site there is an archive with background and animated gif graphics, The "3-D-Textmaker" that makes your really cool animated gifs, the buttonmaker and many more.

Just go to http://www.mediabuilder.com

Let´s check out the "3-D-Textmaker" first, so click in the menu bar lefthand at the link "3-D-Textmaker". This will open up a menu to design your own animated gif. As you see you can choose between different fonts, size, color how your text will move or zoom and so on.

When you are done with all the choices simply insert your text (in my gif-example down below it is “my webpage”) and click on create 3-D-Text.

This could look like my example here, or completely different. It´s in your hands!

The animated gif graphic will be shown and if you like it just save it on your computer by doing a right-mouse-click on it and then clicking in the pop-up-menu with a left mouse-click on “save image as”. You can then insert this graphic into your webpage!

If you don´t like it, just go ahead and try a different setting.
